  • Click on Configure Active Directory to integrate App Volumes with Active Directory under General Setup.

  • Once you done with the AD integration, you will be redirected to the Appvolume Login Page. Just enter your user name and password to login.

Note : You should login using only the username without @domain_name. You may face issue while configuring Windows Shared location if you use username@domain_name to login.

  • After you logged in, the next step going to be configure vROPS server. Click on Configure next to vROPS

  • Provide the vROPS Server details and the credentials having sufficient access rights on vROPS Server.

Note : vROps is only available with App Volumes Enterprise. Installing or using vROps is optional

Note: By default vROPS & vCenter servers are configured with the default self singed certificate. APP Volume will be validating the configured certificates on vROPS & vCenter server. Since i am running this in my home lab, i have disabled the SSL cerification validation using the below script which is available in the appvolume appliance.

  • Now lets configure the vCenter server.

Note : If you have multiple ESX host managed using vCenter, it’s important that all of the hosts should have common password; otherwise, you may find that AppStacks may not be available.

  • Enter all the required details and Click on Save.
